Frequently Asked Questions
Anyone who wants smooth, bright, and youthful-looking skin can have a HydraFacial. It’s appropriate for all skin tones, and is entirely safe for people with darker skin complexions, unlike some other treatments which can cause unwanted changes in pigmentation.
HydraFacial can help with:
- Acne / oily skin
- Discoloration of skin, unevenness in skin tone or brown spots
- Enlarged pores
- Lack of skin firmness and elasticity
- Rough, dry or bumpy skin texture
- Wrinkles or fine lines on the face
The only contraindications are an active rash, sunburn or similar condition, or pregnancy, as some ingredients such as salicylic acid haven’t been tested and proven safe during pregnancy.
HydraFacial improves hydration, radiance, and even skin texture and pore size. The treatment is entirely customizable through booster serums, which may treat hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or enlarged pores.
HydraFacial is a non-invasive procedure using hydradermabrasion and is well tolerated by most people. If redness appears post-treatment it usually doesn’t last long. Allergic reactions are very rare — always consult your aesthetician for further advice.
Results are immediate, with visible improvement lasting 5 to 7 days or longer. Ideally clients come in once every two weeks, then move to a maintenance program every 28-45 days once skin is in a good place. Regular monthly visits keep your skin’s health and appearance maintained.
HydraFacial is an efficient and painless treatment that takes as little as 30 minutes, with no downtime — clients return to normal activities right after.
Immediate skin improvements last for several days and can be maintained with the appropriate skincare recommended by your aesthetician.
Not at all — HydraFacial actually helps restore skin health and builds up the skin barrier.
The HydraFacial Signature Treatment is a four-step process taking approximately 30 minutes, fully individualised so you can target your specific concerns — from acne and age lines to blotchiness and oiliness. Your aesthetician will choose the best protocol and boosters for you, finishing with LED light application suited to your skin’s needs.
Yes — the HydraFacial Acne Protocol adds a GlySal Peel and Blue LED Light Therapy to the standard exfoliating and deep cleansing steps, improving the appearance of acne and acne scarring and regulating oil levels caused by excess sebum.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the connective tissues and skin. It lubricates and enriches skin quality while repairing damage, increasing volumisation and moisturization for a youthful, smooth texture, and promoting the growth of keratinocytes that improve skin texture.
Antioxidants applied during HydraFacial neutralise free radicals and provide a layer of protection for the skin, improving cell function and helping create a youthful, healthy glow.
Pricing depends on the type, length and number of treatments we advise for the results you want. Prices start from £60.

Your skin won’t get worse once you stop — but we strongly suggest continuing regularly to keep your skin hydrated.
Since the treatment is non-invasive, there’s no need for major lifestyle changes afterward. We recommend daily sun protection alongside your aesthetician’s skincare advice, and delaying stronger topical creams (Vitamin A and AHAs) for 2 days post-treatment.
HydraFacial can be performed 1-2 weeks after any non-invasive treatment. For invasive treatments, patients wait until all scabs fall off. HydraFacial can protect the skin and concentrate energy on targeted areas around laser and IPL work.
It doesn’t hurt. While there’s deep cleansing, exfoliation and a peeling process, none of these steps cause pain. Many describe it as feeling like a tiny vacuum gently tugging on the skin — completely non-invasive, with no skin-puncturing.
